New Jersey Head Start Programs comprises of 26 Early Head Start, 25 Head Start and 1 Migrant Head Start agencies.

The nearly 6,000 staff work together to serve 13,021 preschool children as well as 2,858 infants, toddlers, and pregnant women.

 

Together, they provide high quality, comprehensive early childhood services throughout the state of New Jersey.

The State of New York is home to Head Start programs that serve more than 58,032 people in need.

Children receive services through classroom-based centers, through local family child care providers and  home visiting services. 

Each of the 18,633 employed staff work together to ensure that children have a foundation for school success.

Puerto Rico offers a rich history of outreach to children and families throughout the island. 

 

The more than 35,000 children receive a variety of services everyday, including education, health, nutrition, and parent education.

 

The 1,777 teachers and 1,824 assistants, along with family workers work to help children get the Head Start Advantage.

The United States Virgin Islands is home to one Head Start Program, administered by the Department of Human Services, serving 794 preschoolers on the islands of St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John.

 

Lutheran Social Services of the Virgin Islands administers the Early Head Start Program which serves 120 infants, toddlers, and pregnant women on the island of St. Croix.

 

Children of the U.S. Virgin Islands enrolled in the Head Start Program receive a continuum of services that meets the needs of the whole child and promotes their school readiness.
