Region II Head Start Association Forms New Workgroup for Head Start Facilities Staff- Join Today!

We are thrilled to announce the establishment of a dedicated workgroup focused on supporting and empowering the remarkable individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure safe, well-maintained Head Start facilities that promote learning and growth.

Our newly formed workgroup, the "Head Start Facilities Workgroup," aims to provide a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and support among individuals working in Head Start facilities. The workgroup will focus on addressing the unique challenges faced by facility coordinators, maintenance staff, and support personnel, and will provide resources and guidance to enhance their capabilities and effectiveness.

The primary objectives of the Head Start Facilities Workgroup include:

  • Facilitating Communication: We will foster open lines of communication among professionals supporting Head Start facilities, creating opportunities to share best practices, discuss challenges, and exchange innovative ideas.

  • Professional Development: The workgroup will help inform training sessions, workshops, and seminars specifically designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of individuals working in facility maintenance, repairs, security, and support services.

  • Resource Sharing: Participants can share a wealth of resources, including guidelines, templates, and practical tools to streamline facility management processes.

  • Networking Opportunities: Through regular meetings, conferences, and networking events, we aim to create a supportive community where professionals can connect, build relationships, and form valuable partnerships.

We believe that by coming together and pooling our collective expertise, we can foster an environment where Head Start facilities thrive, and children receive the best possible care and education. We invite you to join us by clicking on the sign up button below.
